How It Works

Your First Steps Towards Your Dream Yard

From your first questionnaire to a polished 3D design and full proposal. Here's exactly how it unfolds.

01

In Preparation for Your Appointment

Fill out a short questionnaire about your project, and attach a copy of your property survey (if you have it), and a few photos of your backyard.

02

We Come Prepared

Your designer will get the initial scaffolding of your project done before the call starts. That way, we can hit the ground running during your design session.

03

During Your Appointment

You'll bounce ideas with your designer, and look at your dream backyard take shape as it's designed live with you, using your input.

04

After Your Appointment

Once you've settled on a layout that makes sense, we'll leave the call and get to work polishing up your design, then put together the numbers for your build. You'll get a full proposal within 24 hours.

05

Back-and-Forth Welcomed

Builders often get frustrated with the design back-and-forth. We don't. A custom pool is a large project; it's normal to have multiple rounds of changes. We'll make as many edits as you need to fall in love with the plan.

Then What?

What Happens After We've Landed on a Design?

Once you've landed on the perfect design, we'll invite you to our Apollo Beach showroom to finalize every detail before breaking ground.

Why Should You Opt for a Virtual Consult?

Virtual Live 3D Consult

No-pressure, no obligation. Up to 2 hours allocated per consultation.
24-hour turnaround for your full proposal and 3D rendering.
Fast feedback loops. You give your input to the designer live, with no endless email threads or miscommunication.
Completely free of charge, no strings attached.
State-of-the-art 3D rendering software. You know exactly what your project will look like before you commit to anything.

Classic In-Person Consult

Often run by a foreman who'd rather be somewhere else. High-pressure, typically comes with strings attached.
Will often take weeks before they get around to putting your quote together.
The person you meet with is often not the one putting the design together, meaning long turnaround for every round of changes.
Will often charge a consultation fee, or have a strong baked-in expectation that you'll purchase shortly after.
Typically relies on basic 2D hand sketches, which sets the wrong expectations and makes mid-build change orders far more likely.

FAQ

You Have Questions, We Have Answers

There's no catch. The consultation is completely free, and there's no obligation to move forward after. The only condition is that the design we create together stays exclusive to your project. Our designs are our intellectual property; you can't take them to another builder for a competing quote. Other than that, you owe us nothing.
Yes. That's the whole point. By the time your appointment ends, your designer will have enough information to put together a detailed proposal. You'll have it in your inbox within 24 hours, along with your full 3D rendering.
Absolutely not. We've found that we can make it a much better experience for our customers in a virtual environment. Being able to design your project live with an actual designer is a game-changer for most. As far as grade and yard layouts are concerned, we have plenty of information from GIS data (3D aerial imagery) and your property survey to price it out accurately. The only exception is if the property is on a very steep slope or the project requires engineered plans. We'll let you know very early if either applies.
Make as many as you need. We don't put any restrictions on revisions. It's actually a good sign when a homeowner is involved in the design process. A pool is a significant investment. You should fall in love with the plan before you commit to anything.
We'll invite you to our Apollo Beach showroom to meet the team, pick your materials in person, and do the dotting of the i's and the crossing of the t's before we get you on the schedule.
That depends on permitting timelines and our current schedule, typically around 3-5 weeks. You'll get an accurate and fixed timeline before you commit to anything.
Yes, you'll need a survey to pull permits anyway. We can put you in touch with a surveyor in case you can't find it. That said, it's typically just buried somewhere in your filing cabinet. It's very rare that a house is built or sold without a survey.
We ask that you treat this appointment the way you'd treat any professional consultation. Our designers block out up to two hours for your project and begin prep work before the call starts. If you miss your appointment without notice, we may not be able to accommodate a reschedule. We totally understand that life happens, so just try to let us know ahead of time, and we'll be more than willing to work with you.
Yes, within reasonable notice (at least a few hours). Cancellations inside that window are noted, and repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows will likely result in our being unable to continue working with you. Pool construction projects are no small endeavours, and we want to work in an environment of mutual respect.
It means there's no pressure, no hard sell, and no expectation that you must sign with us if you went through the process. We never go into a consultation expecting anything other than helping our homeowners in their pool construction journey.
